Miami is the busiest cruise port in the US, which means if you are heading on a cruise vacation, odds are good that you may find yourself with some extra time in Miami before you sail. I always encourage my clients to arrive the day before their cruise just to be on the safe side. Sometimes travel delays happen and you don't want a delayed flight to be the reason you miss your entire vacation.
So if you find yourself with part of a day in Miami, head to South Beach and enjoy my walking tour! It will hit the highlights of that area and start your vacation off on a fun and yummy note!
When it comes to packing for your cruise vacation, it can feel a bit overwhelming since there is limited storage space in your stateroom. What do you really need and what should you leave at home? I've got you covered with my Ultimate Cruise Packing List below!
You'll actually be surprised by how much you won't need on your cruise. Here is what I recommend for each person in your room:
Your stateroom will not be accessible until after lunch on your boarding day and your luggage will arrive outside your door sometime later in the afternoon. So be sure you have your essentials in your carry on bags!
Don't Bring It!
There are a few things you won't need or can't bring onboard!
I find printing a list to be super helpful as I am packing. Click here for my favorite printable list that you can customize for your cruise!
Imagine arriving in Venice, Italy. You get off the train, fight the crowds to collect your bags, and wander the labyrinth of cobble stone alleys and bridges, dragging your bags with you as you try to find your hotel.
Magical, huh? Ha ha ha. This is the typical arrival to most destinations when traveling abroad (it was for us!).
How about this instead? You arrive in Venice on the first class car of the train, comfortable and well fed (for sure some wine was also enjoyed... it IS Italy, after all!). You follow your guide outside the train station where gondolas are waiting for you. You step in and they begin singing to you as they steer you through the canals of this breathtaking city on the water. They pull up to your hotel and escort you inside, where your guide is waiting to hand you your room key with your bags already waiting inside your room for you.
Now THAT'S magical. And THAT is the Disney difference!
Walt created Disneyland because he wanted to create a place where the entire family could have fun and make memories together. Adventures by Disney has that same goal, but with international travel and US adventures. So what makes these vacations so unique and special?
